The Roland CR-78 is an analog rhythm machine from the late 1970's. It has 34 preset rhythm patterns, which can be combined for interesting results (ie: Rock 1 and Samba together). You can vary the tempo, add fills, fade in/out, mute drums you don't want, etc. It even has an old school rhythm programmer, though I admit I have no idea how to use it yet. Think Genesis, Phil Collins (In The Air Tonight), Hall & Oates, and countless others. This box was a staple in the 70's before the TR-808 and TR-909 came on the scene. You've heard it before.
